Planting cold crop vegetables can produce delicious harvests throughout the fall that cost a fraction of the produce you purchase at the grocery store. You definitely want to get your vegetables planted so they are mature before the first frost. According to Virginia Tech our frost date will fall between November 8th and 28th this year. Many of the cold-tolerant vegetables and herbs actually have better quality when grown in the cooler weather. Some even say that the frost sweetens them!!
